UNIFORM DRIVE 2022-23
The NEW Marching Band Uniform has Arrived... But, We Need your Help!
From Concept to Completion
Conceptual SketchOur sketch was designed in May 2021 by the Demoulin Company. After reviewing several sketches, students decided upon this rendering as the final concept for our new uniform. The design combines new features with our oldest design element, the Flying G logo. The logo has been a part of the uniform since 1995.

PrototypeOur prototype uniform from the Demoulin Company arrived in August 2021. Small tweaks to the design were made. Additions included royal blue mylar flecks in the plume and silver textured accents on the jacket to catch the light on Friday nights.

Flying G Uniform: Taking Students into the Year 2037
Quality is of upmost importance when making a long-term purchase such as a new marching band uniform. Our 1995 uniform lasted the test of time due to its quality features, including its durable fabric, stitching and overall construction. Our new uniform has many similar features in terms of construction. In fact, the uniform is projected to take students into the year 2037. The Otterwear rain jacket (included with each uniform) should not need replacing in 2037, but should last into 2047. Quality is expensive. Here is the breakdown of the cost of the 2022 uniform: Jacket: 239.00 Pants: 137.00 Gauntlets: 36.00 Shako (Hat) with Case: 81.00 Plume: 17.00 Raincoat: 79.00 If you were to breakdown the cost of the uniform for the next 15 years, each year of wear would cost $3200.00. |
